7 Marketing Things to Outsource as a Designer

As my business began to really grow last year, I was eager to begin building a team that aligned with my long-term goals and give me the opportunity to be more present in client projects. Being a small business owner, it can be overwhelming to begin building a team and knowing exactly what is best for your business.

I’m here to help guide you through the tasks that can be outsourced and the benefit of each!

  1. Content Planning & Management: When it comes to the process of social content planning, it can be a timely process. From visual feed planning, copy writing, and posting, this takes away from the time you need to be working on projects. Outsourcing this is both a stress reliever and opportunity for consistent brand growth.

  2. Hashtag Research: To increase your search ability, outsourcing someone for this ensures your brand is being seen by new eyes on a weekly basis.

  3. Pinterest Management: This platform is an amazing way to grow your brand awareness by millions! However, it takes consistent management and algorithmic research to grow your awareness on the platform.

  4. Blogs: One of the best ways to increase SEO is blogs! The shelf-life of a blog is 2 years so you can ensure this type of content will be seen for years to come.

  5. Content Creation: Whether it be templates for Instagram Stories or educational material for social feeds, hiring someone to take on the time of creating content will help bring in more viewers.

  6. Website Development: Being a designer is a whole job in itself, and when we throw website development into the mix it can send me into a mental frenzy. While I’m okay with developing Squarespace websites, Shopify can be way more complicated which is why it might be better for you to outsource that to more qualified creatives.

  7. Brand Copywriting: When it’s within a client’s budget brand copywriting will be added to their package. Although copywriting is something I can confidently create for clients, I would much rather outsource that to someone who focuses on that full-time in order to optimize the copywriting the best.

Your needs may change week to week so take the time to think through the best options for you and your brand. If able, you don’t have to live the solopreneur life alone and can bring on people to help you grow and evolve within your brand!
